About Me.
I am Jonathan Hurley, a Quality Management Systems and Continual Improvement specialist with over three decades of experience helping organisations achieve operational excellence. My career has spanned diverse industries—from food manufacturing and telecommunications to global construction equipment and standards certification—giving me a unique ability to blend technical expertise with strategic leadership.

As the founder of Light Blue Quality, I provide consultancy, training, and project support in management systems, ISO certification, Lean Six Sigma, and organisational performance improvement. I also work as an associate tutor with leading standards organisations, delivering bespoke training for clients across multiple sectors.

Throughout my career, I have led high-impact projects that reduced costs, improved safety, built strong compliance frameworks, and fostered cultural transformation. Highlights include spearheading Lean Six Sigma programmes that delivered significant financial savings, designing governance structures for global operations, and achieving multiple RoSPA awards for health and safety excellence.

What sets me apart is not only my technical background—Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO Lead Auditor qualifications, and advanced Lean expertise—but also my passion for developing people and teams. I believe real, sustainable improvement comes from empowering others, fostering collaboration, and embedding a culture of continual growth.

Beyond work, I’m a keen cyclist, enjoy fishing, and occasionally find time for a round of golf.

What's Being Said
The trainer -Jonathan Hurley- is a walking encyclopaedia - he has a very deep subject matter expertise. The purpose of the course was to provide my team with a structured approach to Lean, and the course did exactly what it said on the tin.
Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt
As manager of the majority of the attendees, I was delighted that Jonathan Hurley was assigned to the project. Jonathan has an encyclopaedic knowledge and fantastic communication skills. He effortlessly introduced and explained new concepts to the group.
Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt
Clear and concise presentation of the material.
Really informative training.
I really enjoyed Jonathan's teaching style. He didn't ask questions and expect us to answer, which leads to embarrassment. He asks the questions and provides the answers. He is very knowledgeable with a friendly demeanour.
The tutor was very thorough and very clear throughout the 2 day course and delivered all information perfectly.
The course was really good, I enjoyed it. The Tutor delivered the course throughout the week really well, I remained engaged and interested during each session. I came away with a better understanding of the detail of the ISO Standard.
